Welcome to Columbia Island Marina! We provide services for boaters seeking a year-round slip as well as for those looking for the perfect place to enter the Potomac for fishing or cruising by the monuments. Conveniently located just north of the 14th Street Bridge on the Virginia side of the river in the Pentagon Lagoon, our amenities include:
- 380 slips that accommodate up to 50 ft. Please call us for availability and prices.
- Transient Dockage for vessels up to 50 feet in length. The cost is $1.50 per foot per day; electricity is $5.00/day for 30 amp service and $7.00/day for 50 amp service. Please reserve in advance.
- Access for slipholders to a private, handicapped-accessible restroom and shower area.
- A recently renovated boat ramp, open 24-hours a day for a $5.00 fee.
- A gas dock that sells mid-grade unleaded gasoline. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Please contact us for current pricing.
- Pumpout system and a port-a-potty at our gas dock—free for slipholders, $5 fee for the public.
- Recycling services for our guests for glass, cans, newspapers, etc.
- Great food at the Columbia Island Café, which serves the world’s best BBQ, hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, ice cream, beer and ice. The Café facilities also are handicapped-accessible.
- Catering Services through the Café for events either on your boat or on our patio. Please feel free to check out our catering menus.
- Our seasonal outdoor patio, which is tented and equipped with lights and ceiling fans for either casual use or for your planned event.
- National Park Service picnic area and nearby public restrooms.
- Life Jacket Loaner Program for KIDS”!
Every parent wants to make sure his or her child is as safe as possible, and that goes double for parents who take their kids on the water (Pentagon Lagoon). The BoatUS Foundation for Boating Safety & Clean Water makes it easier for boating families to stay safe with its national life jacket loaner program. Around the country, over 350 marinas, fuel docks, BoatUS Towing Operators, Army Corp recreation sites and other waterfront businesses lend out kids’ life jackets for the day or weekend to families who have a temporary need for one.
- Columbia Island Marina is a member of the Boat U.S. Foundation “Life Jacket Loaner Program for KIDS”!
- We promote boating safety. We’re interested in getting more kids in life jackets every day.
- With this program you can borrow a child-sized life jacket, free.
- Just present your Driver’s License #, complete our loaner sheet
and borrow our free life jacket(s).
